Dayna's family chose the theme "tree of life" to depict Dayna's family, her childhood, and the future of her children.  Family photos, experiences and memories are woven throughout.  At the root of the tree is her family history and past generations, the 'tree' itself depicts Dayna at the centre, and the branches represent her children and various family experiences and memories.  The pink womb at the centre of the trunk represents her creation of the family's future and depicts Da Vinci’s drawing of fetus in the womb; ephemera describing definition of mother: “woman who cradles you as an infant, held your hand as a child, and as an adult she let you go.”
