Inspiration: The
inspiration for this piece started with brass ashtrays (the centers bases
of the sunflowers) which I purchased at the Annual May Mighty Metchosin
Mother’s Day Garage Sale, my all time favorite event which is
traditionally visited by my family- it’s a Treat Mom Day for me… I
find my safe spot in the sale to start a pile for pricing and negotiating
(with some of Metchosin's finest characters too- always a good laugh!) and
they help me haul all my treasures home which will become further
inspirations for art in the home or garden!
I chose this piece to represent my way of looking at life, and how very
fortunate we are to be citizens of this incredible community…in so many
ways. A Job Well Done to all
who had the dream, participated and made the “Heart of our Community”
even more special. Talk about
the power of intention!
